About
NACLI
The National Community Leadership Institute (NACLI) was established
in 1964. It was first known as Buona Vista Youth Leadership Training
Centre. Subsequently, it underwent a few name changes including
the National Youth Leadership Training Institute and the National
Community Leadership Training Institute.
On 15 April 2000, NACLI
was restructured to position itself as THE Campus of Learning Excellence
for Community Leadership. Our mission is to develop effective leaders
through quality training in service of the community.
Business
Our business is in providing training and consultancy expertise.
We organise workshops, retreats, dialogues and forums. A spectrum
of training approaches used includes creative, fun and experiential
learning with low element adventure and organisational learning
tools and concepts.
Apart from training,
NACLI also rents its facilities like the workshop/discussion rooms,
lecture halls, Learning Lounge, auditorium, multi-purpose hall,
accommodation rooms, Dining Hall, outdoor facilities, field and
teambuilding props.
Service Values
We believe in 'Having Fun', 'Being Present', 'Treating Everyone
Special' and 'Making A Difference'. We hold dearly our NACLI Creed,
which encapsulates the key essence of our service values in a fun
and snazzy A to Z list. Our corporate mascot is the bumblebee. We
chose the bumblebee for the positive attributes that it represents.
The bumblebee is a good team player; it is also nurturing, sociable
and fun loving. Our NACLI bumblebee has a 'head', a 'heart' and
a 'pair of hands' that represents the well-rounded development of
our staff in 'thinking', 'feeling' and 'doing'.
Learning @ NACLI
NACLI's clientele include PA staff, community leaders, student leaders,
Ministries, Statutory Boards and other commercial, social, civic
and community development organisations.
Learning @ NACLI is designed
to be a wholesome experience encompassing self-discovery, reflection,
and learning and growing as a team. Within NACLI, creative learning
environments are set up to stimulate thinking and learning. All
around the campus, learning messages and positive values are painted
on strategic walls and even car park lots to enhance the learning
environment and set minds thinking.
NACLI emphasises enduring
change and leadership by example. It will continue to re-invent,
refresh and strengthen its core competencies so that "together,
we will expand our capacity to create the future we aspire".
